UNC Tar Heels won a NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) championship in 2009. Some consider this team the best North Carolina team to ever play. President Obama actually picked this team to win the championships before the tournament started. This team took a long journey, worked hard, and got the championship. They went undefeated all the way until the end and beat Michigan St 72 to 89. After the season they met President Obama in the white house. I love their work ethic and their style of play. Last year they participated in a school charity game and the proceeds from the event went to the UNC Lineberger Cancer Center and the UNC Children's Hospital. They also won a championship in 2005, 1993, 1982, and 1957.
